Religious Education

Religious Education is built into the curriculum through a thematic approach and is based on the Bexley Curriculum policy statement for Religious Education.

It is broadly Christian; awareness and care of God’s world, appreciation and thankfulness for life and acceptance of others are the basis of the school’s approach.

The world’s major faiths are acknowledged and taught throughout the year.

Collective Worship and School Assemblies

A school assembly (collective worship) is held each day.

Parents may, on request, withdraw their children from assemblies or religious education lessons. In such cases supervision and alternative activities will be provided by the school.
